The number of enterprises actually operating as of December 31, 2020
was 5,850 enterprises, an increase of 1.0% compared to that in 2019. Of which,
there were 19 state-owned enterprises, decreased by 5.0%; 5,788 non-state
enterprises, went up 1.0%; 43 foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, rose

by 4.9%.

Employees working in the enterprise sector as of December 31, 2020
reached 131,204 persons, an increase of 2.3%; of which, there were 4,225
employees in the state-owned enterprises, up 0.7%; 120,680 employees in the
non-state enterprise sector, up 2.7%; 6,299 employees in the FDI enterprises,

reduced by 4.9%. On average, one enterprise had 22 employees, equal to the
figure in the same period last year.

The average production and business capital of the enterprise sector in
2020 reached 165,337 billion VND, an increase of 18.7% compared to that in
2019. Of which, the capital of the state-owned enterprises recorded 7,606
billion VND, an upturn of 8.3%; the capital of the non-state enterprises reached

148,442 billion VND, up 18.8%; the capital of the FDI enterprises gained
9,289 billion VND, a growth of 26.1%. The average capital reached 28.3
billion VND per enterprise, went up 17.8% over that in the same period.

In 2020, the net turnover from the production and business of the
enterprise sector achieved 136,750 billion VND, increased by 12.4% compared

to that in 2019, of which the state-owned enterprises reached 6,854 billion
VND, reduced by 4.3%; the non-state enterprises reached 123,649 billion
VND, rose by 14.5%; the FDI enterprises reached 6,247 billion VND, went

down 3.8%. The average turnover of the enterprises reached 23.4 billion VND,
went up 11.3% over that in the same period.
