construction sector was estimated at 15,371.5 billion VND, an upturn of 8.49%
(the industrial activities alone were estimated at 10,215.8 billion VND, an
expansion of 10.4%); the service sector was estimated at 19,843.5 billion
VND, a spread of 1.48%; the taxes less subsidies on products was estimated at
2,353.8 billion VND, a build-up of 6.44%.
The agricultural sector continued to be a solid pillar of the economy with
a growth rate of 3.67% (the increase in the same period last year was 3.07%),
contributing 0.55 percentage points to the overall growth rate. The province
converted 3,819 hectares of paddy fields to large-scale field projects, and
production linkage projects continued to be implemented effectively. Solutions
to develop high quality poultry and castle population were implemented. The
fishery activities had an increase of 2.16% (the increase in the same period last
year was 2.43%), contributing 0.22 percentage points; the forestry activities
increased by 1.63% but accounted for a small proportion, so it only contributed
0.03 percentage points.
In the industry and construction sector, the industrial activities
maintained a considerable growth rate of 10.4%, contributing 1.94 percentage
points to the overall growth rate of economy. The manufacturing activities
continued to be the main driving force of the province’s economic growth with
a significant growth rate of 6.79%, contributing 1.08 percentage points. The
high output of hydroelectricity and solar power in 2021 over the same period
last year had a positive impact on the growth of the electricity power
generation activities, a rise of 49.28%, contributing 0.87 percentage points. The
construction activities grew 4.9% (the increase in the same period last year
was 7.39%), contributing 0.49 percentage points.
The service sector this year was negatively impacted by the Covid-19
pandemic, increased by 1.48% over the same period last year. Of which, the
wholesale and retail trade increased by 2.39% over the same period last year
(the increase in the same period last year was 1.5%); the information and
communication activities expanded 4.76% (the increase in the same period
last year was 4.63%); the financial, banking and insurance activities spread
8.35% (the increase in the same period last year was 5.88%); the
transportation and storage activities decreased by 1% (the fall in the same
period last year was 5.29%); the accommodation and food services declined
11.4% (the drop in the same period last year was 15.73%); the arts,
entertainment and recreation activities decreased by 16.61% (the decrease in
the same period last year was 8.31%).
